A manufacturer was hit by a serious fire in their stock room which quickly spread to the office portion of the premises.  The client had our unique Loss Recovery Service which in the event of such a loss provides the services of a their own Loss Adjuster who works on behalf of them, rather than being in the hands of the Loss Adjuster appointed by the Insurance Company.

The Loss Adjuster, along with the Account Executive from ECS attended the scene promptly and were able to advise the Managing Director to start replenishing all stocks immediately, which included air-freighting parts in from Far East suppliers rather than wait on the usual shipping arrangements.  This advice resulted in minimising the interruption to the business as they were able to quickly get back on their feet and continue production., thereby fulfilling the order book they had and maintaining the good relationships with their customers who were amazed at the speed of recovery.

An interim payment was paid over within days after the fire and the claim was settled in its entirety in less than 4 months.  The expert advice provided resulted in:

• Very early interim payment being made which kept the company cash flow in order
• Help provided to the client with the preparation of vital information for the Insurance Company Loss Adjuster freed up staff to concentrate on the day to day running of the company and maintaining customer/supplier confidence.
